The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can manage it even when not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features you do not often find on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features, but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra works with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, the best robot vacuum cleaner wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
